Next Generation EDC ICs now available for 10 Gbps Copper and Fiber Applications
Devices offering Electronic Dispersion Compensation (EDC) are essential to enabling a growing number of 10 Gbps copper and fiber link applications across Enterprise, Metro, and Core networks, including backplanes, line cards, and optical modules. Without EDC, dispersion can result in pulse broadening and signal degradation. Thus, limiting the ability to transmit 10 Gbps signals cleanly across long or bandwidth-limited fiber or copper channels without the use of expensive transmitters or receivers.
